Description
A vintage travel poster digitally restored featuring an ad for Carlvert's Carbolic Tooth Powder, featuring an illustration of a girl brushing her teeth in front of the bathroom mirror.
The ad's tag line is "Little Girl - Do You Use CALVERT'S Carbolic Tooth Powder?" and features an endorsement by the "Lancet" medical journal from January 1st 1887, which says: "The necessity of keeping the teeth clean, with a view to the prevention of future trouble, is overlooked by too many. It is often asked - how soon should the first toothbrush be used? As soon as there are teeth to be used upon - should be the reply".
